No government has self-imposed limits. None. In canine terms, the muzzle is off and the dog has grown accustomed to bite and maul the People it once served, even protected.
Historically purebred and of resolute pedigree, the flea-bitten, malnourished mongrel is now little more than a common mutt with nothing to show for its history, let alone its future.
Just like any other beast
Once a striking example of power, poise and self-control, its behavior is utterly out of control, as if it never had been trained. It urinates and defecates at will, repeatedly soiling its environs and destroying places of peace and value.
It roams, hunting and killing gentler, less mean-spirited dogs.
It viciously growls and threatens to attack anyone who so much as dares to approach with a collar or leash.
On a primitive level, it knows as long as nobody catches it then it’s free to continue its brazen, depraved pattern of wanton (self-) destruction. And as long as it behaves unchecked, there will come a day when there’s nothing left. To. Destroy.
And it doesn’t care.
It seems the People, who certainly knew how to place a muzzle on the dog prior, either no longer possess the inclination or have forgotten they had the power. The result is the same: A rampaging beast terrorizes the neighborhood and makes it unfit to live in, and unsafe for work or play.
Globally, mutts are all too common. We’re not the only place where dog has turned on master, but ours is a tragic and fitting example of “man’s best friend” succumbing to influences foreign to the dog’s longevity.
The dog cannot correct its own behavior—that is not in its character. The dog has a master and the master must do so. The dog cannot even protect itself from forces hell-bent on eradicating the breed altogether.
Again, if the dog is to survive, the master must intervene and apply the care and attention it needs.
Everyone in the neighborhood sees the dog, and can see it for what it is, but the dog’s owner is nowhere to be found. (That can be seen as well.)
This is Дмεяικα. We’ve abdicated our responsibility to oversee government. As we suffer the consequences, we’ve no one to blame but ourselves.
