“Since the mid-20th century, the world has only ever heard one side of the most horrific war in human history”—so reads the glossy brochure on this documentary.

The social theorist, Slavoj Žižek, claims the video “presents in extenso the neo-Nazi version of the last hundred years of European history.”

If it does accurately portray the neo-Nazi perspective, that doesn’t make it wrong, per se. In other words, if the label itself applies that doesn’t automatically mean all the facts in the video are in dispute.

Wikipedia claims it’s a revisionist piece.

(Of course, Wikipedia also claims that hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin are discredited treatments for COVID-19, and that remdesivir was associated with fewer deaths in hospitalized COVID-19 patients. The point is, Wikipedia is hardly objective. It doesn’t need to be factually correct—footnotes notwithstanding—it merely reflects a position that’s no less biased than our own.)

The film has been critiqued and reviewed and discussed.

If we’re so inclined, we should examine it ourselves and decide for ourselves. But in no event should that opportunity be taken from us.

This is by design, of course.

George Orwell’s 1984 nailed it with “control history” where the ruling Party constantly rewrites the past to align with their current narrative, ensuring people believe whatever they’re told, making truth relative and power absolute through the slogan, “Who controls the past controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.”

The city of Lille, in Northern France, marked 75 years since V-E Day on May 8, 2020. The commemoration ceremony was forced to adapt to the absurd coronavirus restrictions. At the city’s square, which was laughably empty for such a solemn event, a WWII veteran salutes the monument for victims of both world wars. The 75th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe should should have been all about parades, remembrances, and one last great hurrah for veteran soldiers who were mostly in their nineties. Instead, it was a time of lockdown and loneliness spent in search of bittersweet memories while coping with forced isolation. (AP Photo/Michel Spingler)

The glossy brochure basically goes on to say “during the 75, 79, years that have now passed, only a single narrative of the great conflict has been published. This overly simplistic storyline totally ignores the previous decades of critical history leading up to World War II, disregards vital information from the actual war years and outright fabricates lie after lie after lie.”

The documentary’s introduction is narrated by Kenneth O’Keefe, an American-Irish-Palestinian citizen, activist, former United States marine and Gulf War veteran.

This is the resource that Europol demanded Gab censor from their site. You might as well see what all the fuss is about.
